With a short history, Sanchong almost has no old streets or traditional artwork for a historical trip. However, Hsien Shen Temple, the 3-class historical site, and some other old temples, along with recently re-built Erchong Floodway, can be an exciting one day trip. If you cannot enjoy yourself to the full with these sites, Sanchong's delicious food will satisfy you.
As a city built from immigration, Sanchong has a mixed food style, which forms an abounding food culture, from Rice Noodle Soup, Beigang Pork Thick Soup, Pig Knuckle Rice, Pearl Sago to Japanese Style Dessert. Even a bowl of Q-Chen Ice from a chain store will bring you a totally different texture.
Delicious food refers to not only dishes made from delicacies, but also dishes of mingling tastes. You can smell these fine aromas lingering in the memory in Sanchong.
