With a short history, Sanchong almost has no old streets or traditional artwork for a historical trip. However, Hsien Shen Temple, the 3-class historical site, and some other old temples, along with recently re-built Erchong Floodway, can be an exciting one day trip. If you cannot enjoy yourself to the full with these sites, Sanchong’s delicious food will satisfy you.
As a city built from immigration, Sanchong has a mixed food style, which forms an abounding food culture, from Rice Noodle Soup, Beigang Pork Thick Soup, Pig Knuckle Rice, Pearl Sago to Japanese Style Dessert. Even a bowl of Q-Chen Ice from a chain store will bring you a totally different texture. |
